Work On Me Wednesday

Heb. 6:19
Trust My Anchor Anchors have been a symbol of hope for centuries. They remind us of the safety, security, and salvation promised to us through Christ. But, what good is an “Anchor (Christ)” if we don’t trust in Him? I have provided practical truths to work on as we learn to trust Christ, our Anchor. Truths Who to Trust? Christ. Mt. 16:16 What to Trust? His presence, power, Word, love, faithfulness.  Where? Everywhere I go. When? At all times. Why? He is Christ; faithful, with an exceptional track record. Without Him, every day I aimlessly drift, never reaching the destiny He preordained for me. How to trust Christ, our Anchor…* personal relationship with Christ* pray about everything. *, pay attention to His Word and (hide) His Word in all your heart. * practice love and faithfulness. * permit your heart to trust in Him again.* put all your understanding on Him, not self.* praise Him in everything you do.* put into action daily what you learn from His word, patterning your life after His. * put the work in.

Take A Risk Tuesday

Take A Risk Tues.
Heb. 6:19
Christ: Our Anchor”In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil”. These are the words penned by Edward Mote a Baptist minister from London as he wrote the hymn, ” My Hope is Built.” This great hymn challenges and reminds us that during the storms of life Christ is our anchor, providing safety, security, and salvation. The question is do you trust Christ as your anchor? Hopefully, you respond with a firm “yes.”. If your response is unsure, don’t worry, every believer has been there; I just don’t want you to stay there. Below, I have provided important info that can help everyone take risks to anchor their souls in Christ. When Christ is my anchor, I am: Safe. 2 These. 3:3-5 Secure. Isa. 54:17 Saved. 1 Thess. 5:9-10 My friend, Christ is the only anchor for your soul. He is able to keep you safe and save you from a life of sin, guilt, and shame. He alone holds us firmly as the storms of life try and blow you off course; Christ will keep you from being swept away. Have you made Him your anchor?

Make It Happen Monday

Make It Happen Monday
Heb. 6:19-20
Anchored! The lyrics of a blues song ring out “they call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday is just as bad.” The singer goes on to say that the rest of the week is even worse. I think we can all agree with the singer that in this life, we will experience storms. Unlike natural storms that soon pass, the storms of life often linger for what seems like an eternity. However, when we are anchored in Christ, we will be able to weather any storm. For Christians, to be anchored means that our hope is hooked into God’s Word which is solid as a rock, secure as God’s love, and forever true. As a result, our hope is generated by faith in God, keeping us connected to Him and preventing us from aimlessly drifting and drifting away. As a note, during life storms, use the time as an opportunity to check your faith, making sure that it is anchored in Christ, enabling you to hold on and prevent your life from becoming a wreck. My friend, you are responsible for making sure that your anchor of hope grips and holds on to Christ, He holds forever.
