Make It Happen Monday
Heb. 6:19-20
Anchored! The lyrics of a blues song ring out “they call it stormy Monday, but Tuesday is just as bad.” The singer goes on to say that the rest of the week is even worse. I think we can all agree with the singer that in this life, we will experience storms. Unlike natural storms that soon pass, the storms of life often linger for what seems like an eternity. However, when we are anchored in Christ, we will be able to weather any storm. For Christians, to be anchored means that our hope is hooked into God’s Word which is solid as a rock, secure as God’s love, and forever true. As a result, our hope is generated by faith in God, keeping us connected to Him and preventing us from aimlessly drifting and drifting away. As a note, during life storms, use the time as an opportunity to check your faith, making sure that it is anchored in Christ, enabling you to hold on and prevent your life from becoming a wreck. My friend, you are responsible for making sure that your anchor of hope grips and holds on to Christ, He holds forever.
